Gallia County Family and Children First Council helps Gallia County in many ways...
*Help Me Grow
Help Me Grow is a program for expectant parents, newborns, infants and toddlers that provide health and developmental services so children start school healthy and ready to learn.
*Service Coordination
Service Coordination is a strengths-based, family-focused approach to helping children and families. Service Coordination helps bring services to children and families in a way that is simple and organized. Click on Service Coordination if you would like to know more.
* Rights of Children
This guide provides useful information about the rights of children in Ohio's major child-serving governmental service systems - mental health, substance abuse and addiction treatment, education, child welfare, MRDD, and juvenile court's unruly and delinquent youth services.
The intent of the Children's Rights guide is to clarify the role of parents, guardians, and custodians and help them better understand their rights and their child's rights so they can advocate for these rights. By knowing their rights and understanding their responsibilities, families may become more involved in the service system and be pro-actively engaged on behalf of their children.
